Expert Tips

  • Make sure to use fresh marshmallows! Stale ones will not melt and hold the same within your Rice Krispie treat. If you treats are hard, it is most likely because the marshmallows we’re not fresh.
  • Also make sure the cereal is fresh too. You will be able to taste the stale cereal in the treat.
  • When you press the mixture into the pan, spray some non-stick cooking spray onto your hands or onto a sheet of wax paper so you can properly press it down without it sticking.

  1. I hadn’t seen this recipe! smores are always the best especially when another way to make them comes around. Looks yummy!

  2. In this recipe, one ingredient listing is “8 (approx) Graham crackers (full sheets)” ? By “full sheets”, do you mean 8 square graham crackers, without breaking them on the division line? Thanks, Dorothy!
