- 4-5 regular candy canes or 10 mini candy canes about 1/2 cup
- 12 Oreos chopped (about 1 cup)
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips or semi-sweet
- 1 ½ cups white chocolate chips
- 2 teaspoons vegetable oil optional for melting chocolate if needed
Line a cookie sheet with wax paper.
Add milk chocolate chips to a microwave safe bowl and heat in 30 second increments, stirring after each, until melted and smooth. If they are having trouble melting, add 1 teaspoon vegetable oil.
Pour onto prepared cookie sheet and spread flat - make sure it's at least 1/4-inch thick. (Don't spread it the entire size of the cookie sheet.) Sprinkle with chopped Oreos. Chill for 10 minutes.
Add white chocolate chips to a microwave safe bowl and heat on 50% power in 30 second increments, stirring after each, until melted and smooth. If they are having trouble melting, add 1 teaspoon vegetable oil.
Pour over Oreos and spread to the edges of the milk chocolate. Sprinkle with chopped candy canes. Chill until set.
Break into pieces. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
- You can crush the candy canes and cookies either in a food processor or the old-fashioned way with a bag and a rolling pin.
- For the chocolate chips and white chocolate chips, you can melt them in bowls in the microwave. Melt them in 30-second increments, stirring before you add more time.
