Valentine Chex Mix is an easy snack mix recipe – no bake and only 6 ingredients! It takes just minutes to make and is super festive for Valentine’s Day. I call it Cupid Crunch and it’s the perfect treat for a Valentine’s Day party.

I love snack mix, and I love love, so Valentine’s Day Snack Mix is the perfect treat for me! In all honesty, skip giving me chocolate, I want Chex Mix. Salty and sweet and crunchy, this Cupid Crunch version of my Bunny Bait recipe has white chocolate coated cereal, pretzels, and nuts all topped with Valentine candy. It’s the perfect sweet treat!
Ingredient Notes
- Cereal: I used a combination of Chex Cereal and Cheerios, but you really can mix and match to your hearts delight. Rice Chex, Wheat, Cinnamon, Peanut Butter, Honey Nut – any flavor you like would be perfect. Same goes for the Cheerios – use any flavor you like.
- Pretzels: Add a crunchier crunch – you can use mini pretzels, twists, or rods
- Nuts: I love using peanuts, but almonds would be great too!
- Melting Candy: I prefer Ghirardelli Melting Wafers (they taste the best). Use either white or milk chocolate candy. In a pinch you can use white chocolate chips but they won’t melt as easily.
- Valentine Twist: Conversation hearts, if you like them, or M&Ms are perfect, or any candy you like.
How to make Valentine’s Day Chex Mix
- I love using 3 cups rice Chex cereal and 3 cups Honey Nut Cheerios but you can use any kind you like.
- Use a microwave-safe bowl to melt the chocolate – I love using paper bowls for easy cleanup.
- You could even add 1/4 cup peanut butter to the chocolate for extra flavor!
- Be sure to evenly coat the cereal with the chocolate and then spread it out on baking sheets to harden.
- Once hardened, break it up and shake it with one bag Valentine’s M&Ms or conversation hearts.
Expert Tips
- Use your favorite candy for this! Any flavor M&Ms or even other little candies would be perfect.
- For extra decoration, drizzle the top with more melted chocolate.
