My Ground Turkey Lettuce Wrap recipe are truly the best lettuce wraps EVER and SO easy! We make these so often – they’re a light and quick dinner. These are as good as P.F. Changs but I make them at home all the time.

These ground turkey lettuce wraps are what I make when we get a craving for PF Chang’s style food. It has all of those great Asian flavors like ginger, soy sauce and green onions but done at home. And if you’re doing low-carb or keto, they’re perfect for you. We just like them because of the spiced ground turkey and crunchy lettuce make a great combo.
We use ground turkey for everything – ground turkey stir fry and even meatloaf – but this is one of my favorite ways to use it!
Ingredient Notes
- Pepper: I’m dicing one yellow pepper – you can swap a red bell pepper if you want. The pepper adds some extra flavor and crunch – you can also omit.
- Lettuce: I’m using large iceberg lettuce leaves but you can also use butter lettuce leaves.
- Ginger: you can use either ground or grated fresh ginger
- Ground turkey: use any meat you like. Ground chicken and ground beef work great in this lettuce wraps recipe.
- Chili powder: this is what makes your meat aromatic and savory. You can also use red pepper flakes.
- Soy sauce: I’m using low-sodium soy sauce for this recipe but you can use regular as well.
How to make ground turkey lettuce wraps
- You want to cook the green onions and peppers first so that the pan and oil has the flavor of them, that way when you add the ground turkey it’ll absorb the flavor of the onions (plus the chili powder and soy sauce).
- Once the meat is cooked through and no longer pink, it’s time to serve in the lettuce cups.
Storing Leftovers
Store the remaining meat in a sealed, airtight container in the fridge for up to 3-4 days. This is a great meal prep recipe for lunches too!

- Add some hoisin sauce to add a slight sweet flavor to your ground turkey or add a dash of sesame oil

Good Side Dishes for Lettuce Wraps
- Easy airfryer broccoli
- Easy chicken fried rice
- Garlic Green Beans
- If you don’t want to use the lettuce wraps you can serve this in a bowl with rice or cauliflower rice.
I made this for dinner tonight. I am not big on ginger or peppers. So I put some chopped up water chestnuts and a little bit of sriracha. Delicious!
Needs some other spice added to it. But I can’t figure out what that is. They are healthy but bland.
When in doubt, add more salt
Sriracha and waterchest nuts
Definitely adding this to our weeknight dinner list this summer!
I like that these are healthy but look like they taste great
