This Caramel Martini is the easiest dessert martini out there. Add salted caramel and kahlua to a vodka martini and you have one of the sweetest cocktails – it’s like a creamy espresso martini – with chocolate!

Salted Caramel Martini

This Caramel Martini is one of the best out there! It has a vanilla vodka martini base with milk and then I mixed chocolate and coffee liqueur with salted caramel. A caramel cream martini is perfect to finish off a meal as dessert – or just because it’s a Tuesday afternoon and you’re craving a martini!

This recipe shows how to make one martini or a pitcher for a party – because who doesn’t love having dessert cocktails on your dessert bar?

Ingredients Needed

  • Vanilla Vodka: You can also use regular vodka and add a few drops of pure vanilla extract
  • Creme de Cacao: This is chocolate liqueur. I recommend getting the clear kind, any brand.
  • Kahlua: This is coffee liqueur.
  • Milk: I used whole milk but 2%, nondairy, or half and half would work also.
  • Salted Caramel Sauce – any brand.

How to make Caramel Mocha Martini

  • Rim each martini glass with caramel sauce. I do this by pouring caramel sauce on a plate and dip the top of the cocktail glass into it.
  • Place ice in a cocktail shaker and add vodka, creme de cacao, Kahlua, caramel syrup and milk. Cover with the lid, shake then strain and pour into prepared glass.

Expert Tips

  • Martinis are all about the garnish! I put some coffee beans on mine to really bring all the flavors together – this is like a creamy espresso martini. You can also garnish with chocolate flakes.
  • You can use a martini glass or small coupe glasses for this.
  • Feel free to drizzle caramel sauce or chocolate sauce on the sides of a cocktail glass in addition to (or in place of) rimming the glass.
  • If you don’t like Kahlua you can substitute Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur or Rumchata.
  • If you have caramel vodka you can use that in place of the vanilla vodka.

FAQs

How do I store this Martini?

If you make a pitcher and have leftovers, store this drink in the fridge for up to a month. I would recommend covering the top of your pitcher to prevent evaporation.
