Rum Punch Cocktails are great all year long! With 4 kinds of rum, pineapple juice, and grenadine, this easy cocktail recipe packs a PUNCH! I’m showing you how to make a single drink OR a party punch! If you’re looking for a party punch that will take you to the beach, this is it!

I’d never had or made rum punch until a trip to Las Vegas a few years ago. I love rum in cocktails, but I’d never had this! The cocktail I had was a ginormous glass filled with 4 kinds of rum, pineapple, and grenadine and I knew I wanted to recreate it. I made you a rum punch cocktail for one…or you can make an actual party punch.

This easy cocktail has 4 kinds of rum: it’s one of my favorite Captain Morgan Drinks with Malibu – and one of the best rum drinks out there!

What kind of rum goes in rum punch?

That’s right, 4 kinds of rum! You can easily substitute other flavors or do double duty with one if you don’t have all 4.

  • White Rum
  • Spiced or Caribbean Rum
  • Coconut Rum (Malibu)
  • Flavored rum (pineapple, mango, etc.)
  • Other than rum you need pineapple juice to make it smoother to taste and a little grenadine for color.

How to make Rum Punch

  1. You can make this drink in a single glass or in a pitcher as a punch.
  2. Rum: Use your favorite flavors and brands!
  3. Strength: You control the strength of this punch recipe. Add more or less pineapple juice to make it stronger or weaker.
  4. Club Soda: Want to weaken in and make it last longer without calories? Add some club soda to taste.

Expert Tips

  • Ice waters down drinks – and we don’t want that. Freeze pineapple slices and/or cherries to use as the ice. Then it flavors the drink instead of watering it down (and those fruit bits taste fantastic too).
  • You can skip the flavored rum, or use your favorite flavor, but be sure to include the coconut along with the spiced and white rum. The coconut gives great flavor – and I use it in lots of other cocktails like a Cake By The Ocean or Hawaiian Martinis.

  1. I loved the taste but will admit I am a bit of a lightweight and I was hammered in no time. I was taste testing to see if I could use it for a party but others didnโ€™t like all the rum flavor and thought it was too much. More of a hurricane then a rum punch. So delicious but watch out!

  2. If I could give this a higher rating I would! Been searching for a Rum Punch that mirrored what I think is the greatest anywhere. “Boat Bar” St. Maarten.
This one is it! I’ve tried at least 20 in my time, and this one is tied for #1!
The only reason it isn’t the sole #1 for me is because it doesn’t come with the scenery!
Mix it up. Put on some Bob Marley, and you might believe you’re there though!

*It says DASH of grenadine. Perfect. Many recipes over do it.
