Rum Punch Cocktails are great all year long! With 4 kinds of rum, pineapple juice, and grenadine, this easy cocktail recipe packs a PUNCH! I’m showing you how to make a single drink OR a party punch!
If you’re looking for a party punch that will take you to the beach, this is it!
The BEST Rum Punch Recipe
I’d never had or made rum punch until a trip to Las Vegas a few years ago. I love rum in cocktails, but I’d never had this!
When I was in Las Vegas I ate at Voodoo Steak at The Rio. Did you know I got engaged at The Rio almost exactly 18 years before I had dinner there? Shocking!
The signature cocktail at Voodoo Steak is The Witch Doctor, a ginormous glass filled with 4 kinds of rum, pineapple, and grenadine with a dry-ice spectacular finish. It smokes and steams and bubbles…and it really is voodoo because, well, 4 kinds of rum. Also: it serves at least 3 people and doesn’t taste like there is any alcohol in it at all. In other words: it’s dangerous.
I knew I had to re-create The Witch Doctor at home…but in a simpler way. I made you a rum punch cocktail for one…or you can make an actual party punch. (I mean, a fishbowl for 3 would’ve been fun to make but I’m not sure people need fishbowl cocktails when they’re not in Las Vegas.)
This easy cocktail has 4 kinds of rum: it’s one of my favorite Captain Morgan Drinks with Malibu – and one of the best rum drinks out there!
Other Ingredients in Rum Punch Cocktails
Beware – rum punch packs a punch, if you get my drift. With 4 types of alcohol…it’s strong. Add more pineapple juice to make it smoother to taste.
If you don’t have flavored rum, you can skip it and just add double one of the other rums, etc.
This is such an easy drink: just rum, pineapple, and a little grenadine for color. This might not be your traditional rum punch, but it’s delicious.
Whether you’re craving Caribbean rum punch or Jamaican rum punch, this recipe is good for all three. It’s the perfect punch recipe for a party!

Rum Buckets Recipe FAQ
Ice waters down drinks – and we don’t want that. Freeze pineapple slices and/or cherries to use as the ice. Then it flavors the drink instead of watering it down (and those fruit bits taste fantastic too).
You can skip the flavored rum, or use your favorite flavor, but be sure to include the coconut along with the spiced and white rum. The coconut gives great flavor – and I use it in lots of other cocktails like a Cake By The Ocean or Hawaiian Martinis.
If you find the cocktail or punch too strong, you can water it down. Add more pineapple juice to a single cocktail, or add more juice and/or club soda or 7Up to punch.
My hats off to you – please don’t drive – but feel free to add more alcohol!
It’s easy to make this in a smaller portion – just add an ounce of each rum to a glass and top it off with pineapple juice and grenadine.

This Rum Punch Recipe is great as a cocktail for one or a party punch for a crowd. It has regular rum and coconut rum and pineapple juice, it’s the perfect tropical drink for any time of year.
I loved the taste but will admit I am a bit of a lightweight and I was hammered in no time. I was taste testing to see if I could use it for a party but others didnโt like all the rum flavor and thought it was too much. More of a hurricane then a rum punch. So delicious but watch out!
If I could give this a higher rating I would! Been searching for a Rum Punch that mirrored what I think is the greatest anywhere. “Boat Bar” St. Maarten.
This one is it! I’ve tried at least 20 in my time, and this one is tied for #1!
The only reason it isn’t the sole #1 for me is because it doesn’t come with the scenery!
Mix it up. Put on some Bob Marley, and you might believe you’re there though!

*It says DASH of grenadine. Perfect. Many recipes over do it.
So glad you enjoyed it!
Well, now I have plenty of ideas what to bring to a party Iโm attending! These look great, thank you.
This recipe is perfect for this holiday weekend. Thanks for sharing!
Happy Monday
