Peanut Butter Waffle Sandwiches are perfect for breakfast or lunch! Make them into sticks as dippers for breakfast or package them as peanut butter waffle sandwiches in lunchboxes. These easy sandwiches are made in a waffle iron and can be easily frozen and toasted for later.
Waffle Sandwich with Peanut Butter
I absolutely love waffles. I think I love them more than pancakes. I definitely like them more than French toast. For me? Waffles are what I crave when I want syrup. I think it’s something about the crunchy outside and the soft inside.
With my waffle obsession, I thought, why not turn them into sandwiches? Peanut butter waffle sandwiches, to be precise, because I’ve loved PB sandwiches my whole life. So why not combine them?
Well, combine them but make it easy with Pillsbury biscuit dough because if there’s anything I love better than a waffle, it’s an EASY waffle. So, we’re looking at an incredibly easy recipe here, friends, and you’re going to love it.
Why you’ll love this recipe
You use biscuit dough, spread it with peanut butter, sandwich it, and cook it in a waffle iron. You can trim them to make dunkable waffle sticks or serve them as little waffle sandwiches.
They are the perfect breakfast, lunch, or snack for anyone who loves waffles or peanut butter sandwiches. Love a PB&J sandwich? You can make these a waffle PB&J and add your favorite jelly.
Ingredients in Copycat Uncrustables
- Pillsbury Grand Biscuits – NOT the flakey kind!
- Peanut butter – use your favorite kind!
- Jelly or honey – totally optional!
- Syrup for dunking – or you can skip it and serve these as lunch!
How to make Peanut Butter Waffle Sandwiches
- Cut the biscuits in half like you’re making a sandwich. Spread some peanut butter on one half of the raw biscuit. Add some honey or jelly if you’re using it.
- Sandwich the two raw biscuit halves and crimp the edges, so the filling is sealed inside. This is an important step, so your peanut butter doesn’t leak all over the waffle maker.
- All waffle makers cook differently, but I heat mine to medium-high, and they cook in about 1-2 minutes. Once the biscuits are golden brown, they’re done. Let them cool a little, then slice them up and dip them in syrup or enjoy them plain.
Expert Tips
Don’t use the flakey biscuits for this recipe. Double-check the label when you buy them!
Remember your waffle iron may cook differently, so follow your manufacturer’s instructions.
I’ve already mentioned these Pillsbury waffle sticks are perfect for breakfast with some maple syrup for dunking, but they’re also great for snacks and lunches!

Peanut Butter Waffle Sandwich Sticks
Ingredients
- 1 can Pillsbury Grands Biscuits 8 biscuits, NOT the “flakey” kind
- 8 tablespoons Peanut Butter
- Jelly or honey optional
- Syrup for serving, optional
Instructions
- Preheat your waffle maker to medium-high.
- Open the can of biscuits and cut each biscuit in half like you’re making a sandwich. Place about 2 teaspoons of peanut butter on one side of the raw biscuit dough. If desired, top with some jam or honey. Place the top raw half of the biscuit on top and pinch the edges to seal. (The sealing is important or peanut butter will leak all over your waffle maker!)
- Depending on the size of your waffle maker, cook one sandwich at a time. (My waffle maker is a standard round size and I make one in the center.) Cook about 1-2 minutes until golden. Time will vary depending on your waffle maker, so just watch the first few and see how long they take.
- Cool slightly (or completely) before serving. These can be cut into strips and dipped in syrup or you can even just serve them as a sandwich for lunch.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days or freeze for up to one month. To reheat, simply microwave until warm. You can also toast them to make them crunchy. Or just place a frozen sandwich in a lunch box the night before and it’ll be defrosted by lunch the next day!

I love, LOVE how simple and approachable your recipes are alawys. Nothing crazy just like I love! And these sound absolutely perfect :)Also good luck with the strength training – that is awesome you are working so hard and with a trainer. You’re inspiring!! (Like how do you do it all?!)
Aw, thank you Chelsea!! That means a lot to hear. Sometimes I wonder if something is TOO easy, you know?? ๐ How do I do it all, hahahaa. You should see me this week. Total chaos!
Best waffles sticks every, Dorothy! I can’t get over how easy these are! What a great idea to use canned biscuits! Can’t wait to try these out! Pinned!
The gym that I go to gave me a free trial for physical training last year and I eagerly signed up for my appointment. The day after the workout, I couldn’t move! I used so many muscles in my body that hadn’t been utilized in such a long time. Although I can’t afford a PT regularly, I still use the exercises that I learned in that session during my regular workouts.ย
I love waffles, too! They remind me of Saturday mornings at my grandmother’s house as a child. Dippers are even better! ๐
Oh yes. Those first few ones are killers!! I’m having trouble walking tonight. ๐
Strength training is where it’s at, Dorothy! As much as I hate doing it, I really like the results. But while it’s happening, oh, the burning pain. Not a fan of that.
But I am a huge fan of these waffles! Brilliant to use the biscuits! And I’ve been putting PB between my waffles since I was little tiny. They’re so good that way!
