Is there anything better than candy in the form of fudge? I don’t think so! This Payday Fudge takes elements of the candy bar, like peanuts and turns it into this amazing fudge recipe. There is a chewy nougat center with candy corn and peanuts baked in. It is so delicious!

Homemade Payday Bars Recipe

Did you know that if you eat candy corn and peanuts together it tastes like a Payday? Original Payday candy bars have a super chewy texture and so does this fudge recipe! This payday candy bar recipe is super easy and has just a few ingredients.

When I usually make fudge, I just use white or regular chocolate chips. For this recipe I did that, but then also added peanut butter to the mix to make it as close to the candy bar as possible!

Ingredients Needed

  • White Chocolate Chips – the base of the easy fudge.
  • Peanut Butter: Creamy or chunky – but don’t use natural.
  • Sweetened Condensed Milk – this is what helps the fudge become, well, fudge.
  • Candy Corn and Peanuts: This makes the peanut butter fudge taste like a payday.

How to make Payday Fudge

  • Assemble all ingredients. Line an 8×8” or 9×9” pan with foil and spray with cooking spray.
  • Place white chocolate chips, peanut butter, and sweetened condensed milk in a medium saucepan. Heat over low heat, stirring often, until melted and smooth.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Working quickly, stir in 1 cup each of the candy corn and peanuts. Quickly spread in prepared pan and top with remaining candy corn and peanuts; press to adhere them to the top.
  • Let fudge cool to room temperature, then chill to set. Cut into squares. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

Expert Tips

  • Use regular (not fat-free) sweetened condensed milk.
  • Do not use a natural peanut butter that needs to be stirred.
  • Your fudge should easily harden, but if it doesn’t–chill it and/or freeze it to set it.
