Is there anything better than candy in the form of fudge? I don’t think so! This Payday Fudge takes elements of the candy bar, like peanuts and turns it into this amazing fudge recipe. There is a chewy nougat center with candy corn and peanuts baked in. It is so delicious!

Homemade Payday Bars Recipe

Did you know that if you eat candy corn and peanuts together it tastes like a Payday? Original Payday candy bars have a super chewy texture and so does this fudge recipe! This payday candy bar recipe is super easy and has just a few ingredients.

When I usually make fudge, I just use white or regular chocolate chips. For this recipe I did that, but then also added peanut butter to the mix to make it as close to the candy bar as possible!

Ingredients Needed

  • White Chocolate Chips – the base of the easy fudge.
  • Peanut Butter: Creamy or chunky – but don’t use natural.
  • Sweetened Condensed Milk – this is what helps the fudge become, well, fudge.
  • Candy Corn and Peanuts: This makes the peanut butter fudge taste like a payday.

How to make Payday Fudge

  • Assemble all ingredients. Line an 8×8” or 9×9” pan with foil and spray with cooking spray.
  • Place white chocolate chips, peanut butter, and sweetened condensed milk in a medium saucepan. Heat over low heat, stirring often, until melted and smooth.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Working quickly, stir in 1 cup each of the candy corn and peanuts. Quickly spread in prepared pan and top with remaining candy corn and peanuts; press to adhere them to the top.
  • Let fudge cool to room temperature, then chill to set. Cut into squares. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.

Expert Tips

  • Use regular (not fat-free) sweetened condensed milk.
  • Do not use a natural peanut butter that needs to be stirred.
  • Your fudge should easily harden, but if it doesn’t–chill it and/or freeze it to set it.

  1. Congrats Dorothy,

Your new design is stunning. It’s very clean and easy to navigate.
I have been a follower since last May and come here EVERYDAY.

You have one the best personalities in the blogging world. I don’t know you in real life, but the way you write your blog you seem very approachable. For instance if I ever did meet you, I wouldn’t be shy or hesitate to say hello to you. And I love that about you.

And of course I love all your genius creations. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Hope it gets cooler up there where you live, down in SoCal it’s blazing away.

  2. Love the site make-over, especially your logo, so cute! And I love candy corn, I only wish my teeth loved it as much, because this fudge looks to die for ๐Ÿ™‚

  3. Love the new look but I’ve always loved your site regardless. ย Nice work!! ย This one looks great. ย I lived in MN for 17 years and “learned” about candy corn and peanuts mixed there and carried it with me nearly 14 years ago to Oregon. ย I have now established a yearly container here “when fall feels right”. ย We are still getting some hot weather but fall is in the air regardless of the temperature outside. ย Can’t wait to try this one. ย Have you tried it or considered the candy corn M&Ms as another option to add? ย Just curious. ย I’ve heard both good and bad about that flavor. ย I am a HUGE fan of Brach’s version. ย I don’t think any of the others quite get the honey depth as right as they do and the dry-roasted peanuts combined with that brand of candy corn is PERFECT. ย Thanks again for keeping us well stocked with fun new recipes to try!!

    1. Thank you Linda! I love the Brach’s brand, they’re my favorite. I love the s’mores version too!! I was not a huge fan of the flavored M&Ms, unfortunately, but if you like them they’d be perfect on this!
