Lime Vodka Punch – The Party Vodka!
Summer is almost here which means we will be starting to use the pool more regularly. Our pool isn’t heated so Mel and Jordan usually use it May-September and I use it for one week in August (lol). This time of year makes me think about all the summer BBQs I want to have and all the friends I want to see. In reality we’ll probably only have one or two big gatherings, one of which will be the 4th of July.
Every time I host any sort of gathering, whether it’s 5 people or 50, I serve punch. I’m always trying to come up with new fun punch recipes but all of them always have one thing in common: vodka. I just love vodka party punch! Unlike tequila, vodka punch doesn’t come back and bite me in the behind (ha) plus it’s easy to mix and match flavors.
In the past I’ve made Fruity Vodka Punch, Pineapple Party Punch, Orange Vodka Party Punch, and even Cranberry Party Punch for the holidays. Making new versions of party punch is easy because I feel like I can just throw some things into a pitcher and everyone will love it: pick a flavor profile and GO!
I have to say, out of all of them, this Lemon Lime Vodka Party Punch is probably my favorite cocktail punch recipe yet. It’s sweet and sour and goes down almost too easy!
When you see the ingredients for this vodka punch recipe you’re going to be a little shocked, I think, but go with it okay? The flavors work and the lemon lime shines through.
What can you mix with vodka at home?
Short answer: anything, ha!
This party punch version has just a couple of ingredients:
- Vodka
- Lemonade concentrate
- Limeade concentrate
- Pineapple juice – I KNOW!!
- Lemon Lime Soda
Choosing a vodka for party punch
Now, when you are deciding on what kind of vodka to use I beg you to go at least mid-range. Just like wine, vodka has a range in price. With that range in price comes a range in flavor and you really do get what you pay for.
Tito’s is my favorite vodka but I also love SKYY, or Smirnoff if I’m wanting flavors. (You could use citrus vodka in this lemon lime party punch!)
You can make cheap vodka punch by buying generic lemon lime soda but please don’t buy cheap vodka!
Pineapple juice is delicious in vodka party punch!
I know it might seem weird that I added pineapple juice to this party punch recipe, but I was trying to think of a way to up the volume and flavor profile. I figured if I just used lemonade and limeade concentrate it would taste too much like my Limeade Vodka Party Punch. I always have pineapple juice handy so I threw some in and, guys, this became the best party punch recipe ever!
How to make punch for a party
It’s really easy: just mix all of the ingredients into a pitcher. I like to garnish with lemon and lime slices too. Serve over ice so that the pitcher isn’t watered down with melting ice.
Here’s the thing about cocktail recipes: different people like different strength drinks. I try to make my recipes about mid-strength but personal preference is huge here.
- If you like a stronger party punch: add more vodka.
- If you like your cocktails a bit weaker, add more sprite, pineapple juice, or some water.
Making non alcoholic party punch
You can definitely – and easily – make this into a non alcoholic party punch recipe. Simply omit the vodka and substitute water.
If you’re looking for the best alcoholic punch recipe ever, this lemon lime vodka party punch is for you!
