Easy Churro Recipe – 10 minutes!
If you’re a fan of churros but don’t have the time or patience to make them from scratch, then you’re in luck! Easy churros are the perfect solution for a quick and delicious treat. These churro bites are a tasty twist on the classic dessert that you can whip up in no time. Plus, they’re baked instead of fried, making them a healthier option.
Why you’ll love this recipe
- You just need FOUR ingredients!
- These baked churros are a great option for a quick and easy dessert or snack. They’re perfect for parties, movie nights, or anytime you’re craving something sweet. And since they’re baked instead of fried, they’re a healthier option that still satisfies your sweet tooth.
- If you want to take these easy churros to the next level, try dipping them in chocolate sauce or caramel sauce.
4 Ingredient Churros
This recipe has only 4 ingredients. The churros start with, you guessed it, canned biscuits! Here’s what you need to make them:
- Canned Biscuits
- Butter
- Sugar
- Cinnamon
How to make Easy Churros
- If you slice the biscuits in quarters you can get little bites perfect for making churros.
- You cook these in a waffle maker – no frying or dealing with the oven! You can use ANY waffle maker and the churros get nice and crunchy without dealing with anything extra.
- Dip them in butter and cinnamon sugar and you have churro bites that are just as good as at the fair without the third degree frying burns or all the calories from the oil.
How to serve Churro Waffles
These would be fantastic dipped in a sauce, like chocolate syrup or hot fudge. Or you can make 3 ingredient caramel sauce or salted caramel!

Expert Tips
- I dont’ recommend using flaky biscuits – they’ll fall apart. Use regular buttermilk or southern style Grands or other equivalent.
- These are best served immediately. They’ll soften over time, and get soggy from the butter and sugar.
- If you want to substitute crescent rolls, make my Churro Crescent Rolls instead!
Easy Churro Bites
Ingredients
- 1 can Grands or similar biscuits (not flaky)
- 6 tablespoons (84g) unsalted butter melted
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 3 teaspoons cinnamon
Optional Chocolate Ganache:
- ½ cup (118ml) heavy whipping cream
- ¾ cup (128g) chocolate chips or chunks
Instructions
- Preheat a waffle maker (mine has a 350°F setting).
- Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces. Place melted butter in a bowl. Stir cinnamon and sugar in an other bowl. Line a cookie sheet with paper towels.
- Place biscuit pieces into your waffle iron, separating them a little so they won’t stick together. How many batches you have to make depends on the size of your waffle iron. Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the pieces are golden brown. Carefully remove them (they’re HOT!), dip them in the butter and coat with cinnamon sugar.
- These are best eaten right away or while they’re still hot. They get soft once they cool. They’re still good though!
- To make the chocolate ganache for dipping: place heavy whipping cream in a measuring cup or small bowl. Add chocolate chips and microwave for 45-60 seconds. Whisk until smooth, heating more as needed to get all the chocolate melted. Let cool at room temperature.

Anything rolled in cinnamon sugar gets me excited! Love that these are so quick and easy. Pinned!
Biscuits in a waffle iron…why haven’t I thought of this! I see people put all kinds of stuff in waffle irons and it makes me want to dust mine off. But then…I don’t want to clean the grates. lol
Awesome that you guys got to try out the phone too!
Oh boy do these look good! ย I was obsessed with getting churros at fairs and the mall when I was a kid. And I’m so glad these don’t have to be fried! ย
I meant fry oreos
