My cat loves my husband. And when I say love, I don’t mean “he feeds me and changes my litter box” love. I mean she luuuuuuuuuuuuvs him. With i’s dotted with pink puffy hearts and Mrs. Callie Kern doodles and all that.

Every night, we climb into bed and watch approximately 5 minutes of The Soup or No Reservations before we conk out. Callie lies on his side of the bed, waiting. As soon as my husband lays down, her drooling, eye watering, purr-fest begins. If he so much as touches my arm instead of petting her she shoots me a look that says, “I hope you die in the night so I can get an extra meal.” She then screams at him and urges his hand back onto her chin.

My husband is often traveling during the week, and Callie just isn’t the same without him. I try to stand in for him. I climb into bed and call for her. I pat the bed next to me and pet her a little. She gets all sandofish and goes to sit in the opposite corner, facing the wall. I’m just not her love interest, I guess.

Now, the dog…well. That’s another post.

Does anyone else have really strange animals? It can’t just be us, right? Because what does that say about me?

{Don’t answer that.}

You know what I luuuuuuuuuuv with heart dotted i’s?

Cookies. Pudding cookies. With peanut butter and chocolate and marshmallows.

I made these cookies awhile ago – after Christmas. And I never posted them! I realized I needed to ASAP – because they use Peepsters. Have you ever seen those candies? They come out at Christmas and Easter, and are made by the people who make Peeps. They’re chocolate covered marshmallows and are SO good.

You all know how much I love pudding cookies. I’m addicted to them! They come out perfect and soft every single time. For these cookies I used chocolate pudding mix, and I subbed peanut butter for some of the butter. Best. Decision. Ever! It’s like a rich chocolatey, peanut buttery cookie all rolled into one! Then, for good measure, I added chocolate chips and marshmallows. They’re like a chocolate fluffernutter cookie!

  1. Hi Dorathy, I wonder if the egg can be replaced by other ingredient? I am allergy to egg.. But I really want to try making these!

  2. Funny about the cat. My cat (she) was so super attached to my dad whereas the other one who was my baby (he) was so attached to me and all things olive and chocolate. He used to bite by dad if he so much as even raised his voice at us. And he would sneakily love to get at the cookie jar when my mom wasn’t around. But he knew I’d always offer him his bit of the cookie first so he always asked me for it ๐Ÿ˜›

  3. I just found this recipe today – as I was pinning the copycat Famous Amos cookies – I just wanted to tell you – this looks awesome. Cannot wait to get me some chocolate covered peeps and try this. I love your site!! And, I also have a Cali – except she is a boxer (tiny – was the runt of the litter and only weighs about 40 lbs at 15 months old) Anyway – here’s my weird pet story – I hold out two different treats for her, she sniffs them both, sometimes gives a tiny little lick, then picks the one she wants to eat. And, she does not come back for the other one – its hilarious. Cannot wait to try both recipes! โ™ฅ

    1. Thanks for the pin Donna! I cannot wait for those marshmallows to come back out! Cali sounds like Ginger – ever since we babysat my MIL’s dog, she won’t take her treat from me. I have to throw it at her. LOL!

  4. I used not only my leftover chocolate covered peeps for this, but cut up my chocolate bunny for the chocolate chunks! Came out fabulous. ๐Ÿ™‚ Love this recipe and your blog!
