Simple Apple Smoothie

This Apple Smoothie recipe has few ingredients that makes it an easy recipe for on the go! Smoothies like this one are the best for with leftover apples from apple picking or the store that you have.

Apple recipes are the best because you can choose whatever apples you would like. I love Granny Smith and Gala. To top off this recipe, I pour some extra caramel sauce over the top to really give the recipe a caramel apple feel!

Ingredients Needed

  • Milk: Any kind you would like – regular or nondairy milk!
  • Unsweetened Apple Juice
  • Apples: Use your favorite brand, I recommend Fuji, Gala, or Granny Smith.
  • Caramel Syrup: You can use ice cream topping or my homemade caramel recipe!

How to make an Apple Smoothie

  1. Pour the milk and juice into a blender.
  2. Core the apple and cut it into chunks. Place it in the blender then add the caramel and ice. Blend until smooth.
  3. Optional serving suggestion: top with additional caramel sauce.

Expert Tips

  • Add some flax or Greek yogurt to it to give it more fiber or protein.
  • Ice thickens smoothies–so if you like a thicker smoothie then add more ice. The key though is to add the amount said at first and then go back after to add more if you want.
  • Add a scoop of protein powder to make this smoothie more of a meal.
  • Use nondairy milk if you prefer – any kind will work (i.e. almond milk, coconut milk, oat milk).

  1. I just HAVE to try this smoothie. I love caramel apples, and caramel apple flavored things (and did I mention now I need to go back and try your blondies, and cinnamon rolls!) but this smoothie. YUM! And I think I need to get my hand on that book. I love Deborah and just know I’d love that book!

  2. This sounds like the perfect smoothie for my daughter.  She is a huge fan of taking smoothies to school for breakfast.  I’m off to get the book to get me more ideas during the morning breakfast routine!

  3. Pretty sure the kids aren’t the only ones loving this. This is my kind of smoothie! I am always left with a list of things we didn’t do at the end of each season — life just goes way too quickly!

  4. My bucket list is more geared toward Christmas, but I hear ya. Soon before you know it, Christmas will be here (eek!) and I won’t have completed anything on my list. Sigh. Time moves too quickly when you’re an adult! Love this smoothie!
