Raspberry Lemonade Margarita – this EASY cocktail recipe is the perfect margarita! Raspberry Lemonade, tequila, and triple sec- that’s all it takes to make a pitcher!
This is the best margarita for a crowd – if you love lemonade and margaritas you’ll love this mashup.
Jordan has been working Mel and I hard about getting a puppy. She’s begged for one for years, as children do, but more recently her wants have changed. She no longer wants a puppy just because puppies are cute, but she wants something to take care of. She’s 12, and finally at that age where she wants a pet of her own. We have our faithful Golden Retriever, Ginger, still but she’s 14. While she’s the best dog any Mel or I have ever had, she’s old. She can’t go on walks anymore and while she loves pets from Jordan, she’s not exactly Jordan’s dog.
It might be crazy, because we’ve (read: Mel) gone from saying we’ll never getting another pet, to waiting at least 6 months after Ginger passes, to getting another dog to actually entertaining the idea of getting a puppy…soon. Honestly, the fact that Mel is even letting us discuss a puppy makes me want to run out and get one before he changes his mind.
I’ve never had a puppy, and it’s been years since Mel had one. Ginger came to us at 5 years old and already trained and pretty much perfect. Puppies scare me, but I know that Jordan wants to start where she has a chance of becoming the person for the dog. Plus, I think I’d like to get one I can groom to be what we want as much as possible (Mel really wants a dog to swim with him, and Ginger won’t go near the water). So…puppies.
The thought makes me think about when Jordan was an infant and all those sleepless nights. Back then I was breastfeeding so I couldn’t have a glass of wine to get me through, but now? Now I’m going to have a pitcher of Raspberry Lemonade Margaritas on tap.
This EASY cocktail recipe is the best margarita for the warmer weather that’s just around the corner. You can easily make just one drink for yourself, or make a pitcher for a crowd. This margarita recipe was anxiously received by friends of ours, so you know it was good!
There are only 3 ingredients in these simple raspberry lemonade margaritas: Raspberry Lemonade, tequila, and triple sec. That’s it! Just mix and drink, easy as pie.
Or, well, as easy as a cocktail. Certainly not as easy as a puppy, ha!
I found the raspberry flavored lemonade near the juices at the grocery store. For these raspberry lemonade margaritas you can actually use any lemonade you like, or any flavor of lemonade. They have lots of different juice flavors near the OJ, so go to town and pick your favorite!
Raspberry lemonade margaritas are even better when they’re served with raspberry lemonade treats, right? Like raspberry lemonade bars, raspberry lemonade cupcakes, or these gorgeous raspberry lemonade freezer pops!

The margaritas sound wonderful, now I feel we just had warm weather to go with them…….alas it is raining again right now here in the PNW.
I have had adult acquired dogs and puppies and always lived in a two dog household. I can understand Jordan’s desire for a pup but would be more enthusiastic in time if Ginger were middle aged. Older dogs often times do not appreciate young pups and their brainless behavior. If Jordan can give them both enough of her time AND you all can protect Ginger from unwanted interest when she has clearly had enough, then go for it! Perhaps it may even give the old gal a new lease on life and she may be able to teach the newbie a thing or two. You will all just have to monitor and step in when needed to give everyone their space .
This recipe sounds yummy! I can’t wait to try. Now for the puppy – you have my vote. When I was a kid, I only had parakeets and fish. They weren’t exactly warm and fuzzy that you could play with. When I was on my own, I got a Germa Shepherd/Wolf/Husky that I named Ulysses (after the Greek warrior, not the President). He was so smart, loyal, loving. When my son was about 8, we let him pick out his own puppy (we already had a dog). She was a Spitz/terrier mix that we named Ginger. She was a wonderful addition to our family. At one point, we had two dogs, two cats, a parrot and a ferret. I have had dogs and cats since then and always will. If you have a bad day, they are always there for you. It’s like they can tell something’s wrong. We currently have a German Shepherd/Husky named Kosmo and two cats. One is Boo and the other is Itty Bitty.
I love most of the recipes that you have posted but I haven’t tried all yet. Keep them coming and your family stories and experiences. Thank you.
I can’t wait – i think our house needs a puppy! ๐ Thanks for reading!
Tell Mel that Ginger can help train a puppy. hahahahahaha ๐
I’m team puppy!!!! Mel, roll over !! ๐
It’s been eight years since we had to put our rottweiler down and I still miss him like crazy. People always ask if we’re going to get another fur baby and I’m still saying no. What I won’t say no to is a pitcher of this tempting drink. I’m looking forward to having a glass, or two.
