Are you on the go in the mornings? Make these easy Apple Pancakes that anyone will love. They have grated apples in the batter and will be the perfect pancake for any school morning!

Easy Fluffy Apple Pancakes

These Apple Pancakes are so fluffy, warm and have a perfect apple taste. Make these pancakes ahead of time and store them in an airtight bag. Separate the pancakes in the bag with paper towels. Any morning that you’re feeling like pancakes–take them out and heat them up and top them with crockpot apple butter for even more flavor.

Of course syrup goes great with pancakes, but I have found that this recipe goes so well with powdered sugar! 

Ingredients Needed

  • Pancake mix or batter: Use my fluffy pancake recipe or buy a box mix
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Apples: Use your favorite brand and leave the skin on when shredding.
  • Powdered sugar or syrup for topping: Powdered sugar’s my personal favorite!

How to make Apple Pancakes

  • Preheat griddle to 350°F. Spray with nonstick cooking spray or spread with melted butter.
  • Mix pancake mix according to recipe or package instructions. Stir in grated apples.
  • Drop batter in desired size onto prepared griddle and cook until both sides are browned.
  • Serve warm with a dusting of powdered sugar and/or maple syrup.

Expert Tips

  • Use any kind of apples that you would like!
  • The trick to making these pancakes is to grate the apples into the pancake batter. That way the thin slices of apples will cook during the cooking of the pancakes. Chunks will not cook as well.

Can you freeze pancakes?

Of course! Freeze them with paper towels in between the pancakes so they don’t stick!

What apples are best for pancakes?

Whatever brand you like best. I personally love Gala!

  • 2 medium apples grated (use your favorite brand; leave the skin on when shredding)
