Summer picnic recipes are here because It’s July, it’s summer, and it’s picnic weather! (Well, it is for some of you. For me it’s indoor picnic weather!) These recipes are the BEST Summer Picnic Recipes and they’re perfect for a picnic or a potluck. From appetizers to drinks to main dishes to decor, there is something for everyone on this list.
When I was a kid we’d do a family barbecue potluck every summer. We’d all meet at a park and someone would grill chicken and others would bring pasta salads and fruit and chips; the kids would play and reconnect and the adults would talk about sports and politics. Now those have kind of gone by the wayside for us, since we don’t live near family, but we do our own picnics and barbecues with friends that are like family. This list has everything I’ll need for everyone on my guest list, from fruit salad to pasta salad, chicken to roasted corn, and dessert too: lemon sheet cake, apple salad, and homemade lemonade. Then I’ll send the kids outside for a Nature Scavenger Hunt!
