ingredients in caramel mocha latte

What does a caramel mocha have in it?

  • Strong brewed coffee – or espresso
  • Chocolate syrup – use regular or sugar free
  • Coffee Syrup – caramel or vanilla
  • Milk – we love using nonfat
  • Caramel, for garnish

Recipe Swap

  • For a lower-calorie coffee, use sugar-free chocolate sauce and sugar-free syrup.
  • Most grocery stores carry Torani brand syrups in the coffee aisle, they usually have at least one sugar-free flavor.
  • Use full fat or 2% milk if you prefer, or even non-dairy milk.

How to make Caramel Mochas at home

  • Add coffee to your mug along with chocolate syrup and caramel syrup. Stir to combine.
  • Heat milk in the microwave for about 1 minute – or until it’s not but not boiling. If you have a frother, froth until foamy on top. If you don’t have a frother, add to a blender and blend until it’s part foamy, about 3-4 pulses) – make sure to vent your blender.
  • Pour milk over coffee, add foam on top, and drizzle with caramel.

Expert Tip

I use a Keurig and brew it to 4 ounces to make it super strong. You can also use an espresso maker, a Nespresso, or just brew really strong coffee.

FAQs

Is caramel mocha hot or cold?

Both! This caramel mocha can be enjoyed hot or cold. For cold, just serve over ice!

Can I make this a salted caramel mocha?

Yes! I love adding the salt over the whipped cream and caramel drizzle as a Starbucks copycat Salted Caramel Mocha.

Can I make a latte without a milk frother?

You can! Just whisk your milk in a pan before serving. Or enjoy over ice! It’s equally as good.

  1. I’m obsessed with those Torani syrups. World Market had a flash sale this week- 3.99 for the huge bottles, so I spent over 20$ in flavoring syrups and about 2 hours browsing recipes for them. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. I think this would make a great present for my parents for Christmas! That coupon and free shipping will certainly help! Thanks for sharing this! Oh and that snowman mug is adorable!

  3. What an absolutely fun new toy to play with!! I need one of those in my life like now!! I drink way too many of those coffee shop drinks and my wallet is hurting! In the long run it will save me money so I think my hubby would be all for it:-) Love all the fun drinks you have created for it too. And thanks for the shoutout:-) of course now I really want one and it is too close to bedtime!!!

  4. Wow Dorothy, looks like you’ve been busy with your newest toy. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I can so relate to the morning need for coffee. I’m the same but the only problem for me is, I dislike any type of coffee. No amount of caramel would make me like it but hey, that’s just me.

But the giant man-baby, he’s a different story. He loves coffee and often smells like a old school teacher in the morning (remember that old teacher coffee smell?) I’m going to have to bookmark this for later use [read: surprises] when I get a coffee maker and treat him to all of these. He’ll love me forever!
